St Sophia Foundation is the culmination of 5 years of intellectual thought and prayer. It is the sum of the energies of over 20 people with a dream to bring Orthodox Christian higher education to America. The Foundation is dedicated to promoting the dream of priests, educators, business and professional people, parents, and students who, believing that there is a crisis in American education, seek to create a learning environment that is both moral and religious, an atmosphere that is safe, parent-friendly and promotes good citizenship. The Foundation believes there is no contradiction between good faith and sound learning.

Our Immediate Mission...raise $2,000,000.00
To procure 47 acres for the development of:
1. Monastic endeavors
2. A church
3. A religious retreat center
4. An Orthodox Christian cemetery
5. An ecclesiastical institute for Orthodox Christian Higher Education
6. And other endeavors promoting the Orthodox Christian Faith.

St. Sophia Foundation will manage and fund all stages of each project. Our interim objective is bold, raise $10,000,000.00. It is entirely doable with your help and participation. With these funds, Hagia Sophia Institute will be built in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area. Secondary fund raising will allow us to provide a free education to 100 students yearly.
